  • ...on Damn Weather.

I know this is like a pointless rant, but still. Rants are all pointless.

Today's snow really pissed me off. First of all, because I am a driver. Seriously, people drive soooo slow in the winter. I can understand going slightly slower maybe by about 10-20km/hr depending on the road conditions and posted speed limit. But going at 20km/hr in a 60km/hr zone in the left lane...I feel like drive-by-ing them.
People don't even check their rearview to see that someone is trying to go ahead..they just blindly drive. People should also be considerate, letting people in, not trying to block them off.
Most of the drivers who do this are driving some Japanese car that isn't luxury (i.e. Civics and Corollas) or an old dude in a Buick/Ford Taurus or some other POS car. Get out of the way seriously. Even people with BMWs and rear wheel drive cars are driving normally in these conditions. How can these idiots driving FWD cars go so slow? If they don't know how to handle snow conditions, GTF on the TTC, stay home, or w.e. There are people who have to get to work or university.
People please take some time, get out early, clean your car to stop the snow on the roof getting on people's windshield. Don't drive at a walking pace, and make way for other drivers.

Walking out in the snow between University classes is also a PITA. Snow and slush all over the sidewalk...people slipping into you...you slipping and making yourself look like a fool.

    So much for global warming!

This is one of the reasons I want to move to Cali or Texas, and who knows, I might soon.

  • ...on New Year's Resolutions

I know this is way overdue, but only yesterday did I remember to set some Resolutions. On New Year's Eve, I was out at a Family Reunion of sorts, and when 12:00AM actually passed, I was listening to some adults trying to sing songs...so I wasn't really aware that the New Year just came.
Nonetheless, here are some resolutions I have, and this list is by no means exhaustive:

    - Get my Highway License
    - Either go on a Euro-trip, or get a car
    - Be a better brother to my younger sis
    - Play less games
    - Become more organized and focused
    - Hopefully open myself up a bit more to my GF.
    - Start a new job, that I enjoy
    - Take up some new hobby
    - Go on a road trip with my friends (in the summer).
    - Watch more movies
    - Read more books/magazines
    - Get my own place (which will happen as soon as I transfer to the States).
    - Visit Las Vegas/Cali
    - Start reading about the Issues around the world
    - Start thinking more about what I want to do in life soon
    - Blogging

  • ...on Life Awakening Trip

Recently, I have been doing a lot of thinking about where I see myself right now in life...Have I achieved some of the goals I wanted? Where do I see myself going?
Many of my answers seem to be in the negative, and I think I need some self-enriching. What better way to do that then to go on a Trip?

I have not traveled much, went to the States many times, and went to Mexico once. None of my trips have been by myself, and none has really left a lasting impression on me.

Lately, after the suggestion of my father, I have been thinking of going by myself to Europe. I would like to visit (by train) a few countries over a period of say, 1-2 weeks? Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy are what I have in mind. This is coming from a guy who has minimal travel experience, and would not know where to start. Would probably stay at each city for a day or two...but I can't afford to spend too much on this trip. I would visit some of the sites around the city, and then leave. Might hit up Amsterdam for some non-parental approved fun...and pick up some nice souvenirs (bongs) for my friends too!

Would this kind of a trip open up my eyes to the world around me? Would it give me perspective on life? Would it be fun?

I am hoping yes to all. I think this would be awesome to do during the summer, right when I am turning 20.
  • I usually think blogs are a waste of time for people who have nothing better to do.
Q: Why have I decided to start a blog?
A: To check out what all the fuss is about, and to try to get a place to put out some of my thoughts. A lot of stuff goes through my head but I rarely have a chance to write down what I'm thinking, so I think this might be a good place to let out some stuff.

Hopefully I'll have the motivation to write something every day, or at least every week.

No idea how I am going to structure my blogs though...maybe an interesting quote each day...some random fact. I don't know.

Mostly I just want to enrich my life...let's see if this does something. :)
